What are the costs of electronic invoicing via Peppol?

Sending and receiving via Peppol is included in all paid subscriptions of Sage Cloud Demat Invoicing. You pay no fees per Peppol invoice sent or received.

No hidden costs

You pay nothing extra for:

• Requesting and activating your Peppol access
• Registering your company on the Peppol network (this runs via our Peppol provider)

• Updates to the Peppol features

How do you activate Peppol?

Peppol is not enabled automatically. You request access via the “Request Peppol access” window (for example via the “Connections” page), where you choose sending, receiving or both. Once your request is approved, you can get started. Read all about it in How do I connect to the Peppol network?

⚠️ Good to know: Peppol requires an active paid subscription. With a free licence you cannot send invoices via Peppol.

• Processing time: your customer can automatically import the invoice into their own software

💡 Tip: if your customer has no Peppol registration (yet), the invoice cannot be delivered via Peppol. You can then simply send the invoice by email with a PDF attachment, also at no extra cost. Please note: for Belgian VAT-registered B2B customers, an electronic invoice via Peppol has been legally required since 1 January 2026; they must be able to receive Peppol invoices.
