Sage Cloud Demat Invoicing

Which settings can I adjust on a document?

Besides the data you enter directly on an invoice (customer, date, lines, remarks), every document has a number of extra settings. These let you define, among other things, the payment term, the document language, the VAT scheme, any discount and the Peppol references. You can find these options via the gear icon at the bottom of the document.

💡 Tip: These settings work in exactly the same way for quotes and credit notes.

Opening the settings

  1. Open an existing invoice or create a new one (Invoices → Add).
  2. Click the gear icon ⚙️ in the action bar at the bottom.
  3. The Invoice options window opens with six tabs.

Peppol

In this tab you fill in optional references that are included in the Peppol document (UBL). These fields are mainly important when invoicing the government or large companies.

Invoice options: Peppol tab

Among other things, you can include:

  • Purchase order number (PO): Your customer’s order or PO number.
  • Project number, Contract number and Your reference (cost center, department or contact person).
  • Sales order number, Despatch number, Receipt number and Original document number.
  • Service period start and end date: The period the document relates to.
  • Payment method: Override the company default for this one document.

⚠️ Please note: Coordinate the use of these fields with your customer. Once an invoice has been sent via Peppol, you can no longer adjust these fields or resend the invoice with the same number.
